Project aims

Tooth decay in preschool children, or early childhood caries (ECC), is one of the most prevalent diseases in children.​

Supported by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, Faculty of Dentistry of the University of Hong Kong launches the “Jockey Club Children Oral Health Project”. This project aims to screen Hong Kong’s preschool children for tooth decay, control existing cavities and to prevent further decay.

All kindergartens in Hong Kong are invited to participate in the project on a voluntary basis. The project provides the following free-of-charge services to the participated schools:

Oral health education to parents

Individual consultation for children with severe tooth decay

Children oral hygiene workshop
